Before There Was Sex in the City.....

Before there was Sex in the City there was Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  The Truman Capote inspired movie turns 50 years old this year and to this day, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, starring the ever-so-adorable, Audrey Hepburn, remains one of the most stylish films in history.  Can you say “little black dress”? The exquisite gowns and cocktail dresses that Audrey's character, Holly Golightly, wears throughout the film were designed by fashion icon Givenchy and forever changed the way we as women view classiness.  I admit some mornings the idea of throwing on a pretty black dress and popping open a bottle of champagne before breakfast doesn't sound all that bad. Now that's classy!

Do you own a LBD?

What wardrobe staples do you believe every woman should have hanging in their closest?

Oh I love Breakfast at Tiffany's. I actually watched it for the first time ever this Spring. Loved it. I do have an LBD but I would like a more tailored, polished one. And then some place to wear it to. ;)

This makes me want to pop this movie in to celebrate the anniversary!! Good call on remembering! I own a little black dress but I don't think it's classy or sexy enough for me to call it one - it's kind of grecian style. I better get myself a new one! lol, great post! x

Oh I absolutely love Audrey Hepburn! She's probably my go-to style icon. Along with Jackie Kennedy. I love their classy, feminine look. They don't make clothes like that anymore. It's part of my inspiration to learn sewing, so I can make my own dresses like theirs! :)

I love this collection - I think something that comes in a little blue box is definitely a wardrobe must-have! :) Sadly I don't have a LBD - I need one!

Talking to myself is no fun & borderline crazy, however, please note if your email isn't linked to your account, I have no way to reply back. Insert sad face. Feel free to leave your email in your comment so we can chat and I can answer your questions!
