Friday's Dose of Delight {No.16}

I wouldn’t be surprised if any of you leave a comment asking me why I’m posting “Friday’s Dose of Delight?” on Wednesday.  My fingers are crossed that I have my days straight and that it truly is Friday. I’ve been traveling for work this week, which included stops in multiple cities so I’m lucky if I even know where I am in the morning when I wake up, let alone what day it is! So here I go with this Friday’s Dose of Delight; a mini round-up of things that have inspired and/or made me smile.

Her First Curse Word
I mentioned Jenny, The Bloggess, once before.  Let me just make it clear that I’m quite certain she is possibly the funniest gal in the whole wide world. I’m sure we’re all guilty of stalking a blog or two, and The Bloggess is definitely one of my daily obsessions.  Jenny also happens to write for Good Mom/Bad Mom for the Houston Chronicles and shared this short and funny story on her six year old daughter’s first curse word. It's a good laugh and I love the way little kid’s minds work! Read here.

Paint Swatch Chandelier

I don’t want to say this too loud but the home improvement stores have no idea how much of a profit they are missing out on by not charging for paint swatch samples. Thankfully they don’t charge and creative people can do wonderfully creative things with paint swatches like this beautiful chandelier from the Hey Gorgeous blog! Tutorial here.

Hope everyone has a delightful weekend!
 I know I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed again.

Yes, I'm a closet Bloggess fan. I read so much of her stuff and end up laughing out loud about it. Which makes me husband wonder and ask what I'm laughing about. So I show him and he's like... what. -.- He just doesn't understand... ;)

As for the paint swatches... I think all of the various ideas out there are wonderful! I've been so intrigued by them and people's creativity. BUT, if all of this craftiness is going to make me have to pay for a paint swatch someday soon, I'm going to be mad. That's a fact.

Safe travels!

What a fabulous chandelier! I have yet to go and scoop up a bunch of paint swatches nor have I been to Target to see if any of the Missoni line is still available. I guess I am just not "with it"!!

So true! Home Depot could be making a fortune - I have a rather large, growing stash! :) Hope you have a restful weekend!
