This homemade lip scrub is one that I've been using for years. Dry, flaky lips is common in the winter but if your puckers anything like mine sun exposure during the warmer season can do its number on ya too. Lip scrubs are super-duper easy to whip up & most of the recipes call for ingredients you most likely already have. This sugar one has been a favorite of mine since I got married a few years ago. The days leading up to my wedding my kisser was so dry that I was willing to pay something like eighty buckaroos {the things a crazy bride will do!} to some swanky spa for a lip treatment. They must of massaged your lips with real gold fish poop or something for that price. Luckily, the girl at the front desk of the spa gave me the idea to make my own scrub & saved me the moolah {I'm sure the spa owner would have loved that story. Turning customers away & all!} I've been sold on homemade lip scrubs ever since.
Just follow recipe above. Apply to lips & scrub away. Rinse with water.
The hard part is trying to want to not eat it. Kind of like that kid who use to eat paste in school.

Thanks for the recipe! Would make awesome gifts!
You are so crafty ... I always get the best tips from you! This scrub sounds amazing and I love that it is all natural (have you read the ingredients list on chapstick or lipstick lately ... SCARY!)

That sounds so simple you MUST be joking! I'm a chap stick addict (it's okay, I can admit it and that makes it okay, right??) so most of the time my lips are good. But sometimes they need some exfoliating and this would be amazing! And I agree with the other comment, these would make great gifts! :)
Thanks for the tip!
Oh this is such a good idea! I like that it doesn't make a ton, too. My lips get SO dry, the first thing I do every morning is put on lip balm because they've gotten so dry in the night! I've been trying to drink more water hoping that will help maybe??
I'm so doing this tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

Regina turned me on the most amazing lipstick that literally never comes off (a good thing for me) but it makes my lips so dry! I've been using a little sugar & coconut oil - will def try your recipe!
I don't know how I missed this one but I am totally going to do this! Thanks for sharing!!
This is a great recipe. How long will it last before going bad?
I'd love to hear from you!
