I'm not sure where the idea that a floor vent would make a good earring holder came from but trust me I've thought of much stranger things while brushing my teeth.
This weekend I finally reached my breaking point. My teeny tiny jewelry box had become a hot mess of studs, hoops, and danglers and I was tired of always wasting time searching for their significant others. I guess that's what you would call the better half of an earring set, right?
Enter the home improvement store. Happen to go there for something else. Forgot. Then saw floor vent and decided for a few bucks it was a quick fix to my earring dilemma.
End of story.
Anyone else ever make a little something-something
from the local Home Depot or Lowes?
PS. Eating half a gallon of frozen yogurt smothered in gooey caramel, semi-sweet chocolate, & rich peanut butter is never a good idea. Not even if it's for the sake of a recipe blog post coming really soon. You're welcome.

that is adorable!! I'm pinning this one so I can make it! and I want to be eating your dessert right now.
At Home Depot, I bought metal washers; the kind that go between the wood and the screw or nail? The washers I bought had large centers and I am making jewlery out of them. I use patterned paper (preferably small print) and some Glossy Accents to make a washer bobble for a neckless, key chain, or bracelet. Pretty cool!
