Welcome to part dos of my Christmas home tour! If you missed part one, you can catch up here. Yesterday I shared our entryway, and a bit of of our dining room, and kitchen. Today I get to share my MOST FAVORITEST spot ever; our camp-themed play room. I probably had wayyyy too much fun dressing up this space for the holiday but I mean c'mon, it's like our own little imaginary cabin in there.
How could I not go all Christmasey on it?
Today I bring you lots of pictures, so once again I'll try to keep my talking to a minimum.
Fair warning though....you will quickly see that this year I was mad for plaid. Seriously, can't get enough of it!
Okay, onto the tour, gosh darn it!
For those of you who might be new here, we moved into our home back in July 2014 and this office turned playroom was one of the first spaces we tackled. From the plank wall to the DIY built-in cabinets, you can check out our whole renovating journey here as part of the One Room Challenge.
This dapper little guy is from Lucy over at Craftberry Bush. I simply adore her work.
Plus, he reminds me of a deer I once crossed paths with while running many years ago. Let's just say I haven't run since!
I created this mounted deer head years ago out of a really big and sparkly ornament.
You can see all the details here.
I'm beginning to think that maybe I have more than just a plaid obsession #deeroverload
Isn't this wooden Rudolph book holder adorable?
My older brother made this back in woodworking class in high school.
Can you believe I almost donated him last year?! Little B immediately hopped on him. I swear the kid tries to ride EVERYTHING.
Still as happy as a clam with how my vintage-inspired canvas gift tags turned out.
The mini tree is probably my favorite part of the room. I used a vintage crate as a "tree skirt" and then trimmed the trees with all kinds of plaid and wooden goodies.
Instead of filling the snowflake frames with pictures I just simply stamped the back of the paper insert with festive, holiday words. I love how imperfect they are.
The little ledges on our built-in cabinets were also a lot of fun to decorate.
Don't worry I didn't neglect to dress up the other side of the room!
Even Little Ricky is feeling the holiday spirit.
Of course, I couldn't forget to display this wonderfully adorable wall art from Jen Fresh Vintage.
If you love colorful vintage stuff then you'll want to check out Jen's Instagram page here. Major eye candy!
Ladies and gents, that concludes our tour for the day!
Thanks for stopping by our very merry rustic playroom. I hope you enjoyed your visit!
