Shortly after giving my new school book font stamps a go last week on my washi tape organizer I became obsessed with wanting to stamp everything in my sight. I even started eyeing random things around the house, wondering if they'd look better with a letter or two stamped on them. My faith in project nursery finds has only fueled this newfound hobby, inspiring me to personalize decor and storage items for every room. It’s amazing how a little creativity and some well-placed fonts can completely transform everyday objects!
Including my husband's forehead while he lay asleep.
Lucky for him I didn't think it was worth the effort to try to get this growing belly out of bed to get my stamps so instead this weekend I resorted to my back-up plan;
a little sonogram shadow box keepsake.
Materials:
Shadow Box Frame
Small Wood Scrap
Paint & Paintbrushes
Scrapbook Paper
Stamps & Ink Pad
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
Double Sided Tape
Photograph
To get started, I just simply painted my shadow box frame & the little wood scrap .
After the paint dried I decided I wanted my box to have a little more character so I added some antiquing glaze.
Next, I cut my paper to size & layered & secured it along with Baby B's sonogram picture to the inside of the shadow box frame using double sided tape.
Then I got to my favorite part........stamping!
I added a cute little baby quote & then attached the wood tag to the front of my shadowbox.
The final product........
A close-up for you bifocal -wearing -peeps.......
It beats just hanging your ultrasound pics on the mirror, which is what we had been doing up until this point.
Double bonus is these would make for easy & simple gifts for any mommy-to-be don't ya think?
