Well, folks, according to the calendar Autumn is officially here! And what perfect timing because some decor pals and myself are inviting you into our homes today to share how we have began to welcome in the new season. Perusing fall home tours is one of my favorite ways to gather inspiration. So if you're looking for some seasonal decorating ideas (or a way to waste an hour at work 😜), make sure to visit the links below. I promise you won't be disappointed!
So today I'm going to share our fall living room. If you're new here, this is a room that I just started focusing on at the start of the new year, so it's still VERY much a work in progress. With that being said, I still had fun adding a few small, simple touches of Autumn to this space.

When it came to this year's fall decor, I found myself gravitating towards deep reds. It all started with this pillow (or perhaps I'm still having a color hangover from last year's Christmas scheme😉)
Either way, when I laid eyes on this pillow I instantly knew it was meant to be in my home this season! I like how the hints of blue in the pattern compliment my gingham pillows and it's amazing how a little pop of plum red really upped the coziness factor in this room.
PS. I'll share sources below!
A simple gathering on a coffee table is one of the easiest ways to add a touch of fall to your decor. I simply swapped out the summer hydrangeas for a stem of red maple leaves. Since it was still too early in the season for our leaves to have changed color, I went the faux route. I spent a ridiculous, I mean a RIDICULOUS amount of time searching for the most realistic red maple leaf stems I could find and finally lucked out at our local Crate & Barrel. I feel like it was worth it! 😉
To help carry on my fall color scheme, I also included among my table vignette a small blue denim pumpkin, vintage books, and a red hobnail glass candle jar.
I allow myself to purchase one new candle per season (if I don't limit myself, it gets out of control!) I usually like to support local artisans, and will splurge on handmade candles from antique fairs but my second favorite spot to pick up soy candles is T.J. Maxx. They never disappoint and are so reasonably priced!
Over on our gallery wall, I kept things simple too.
Eucalyptus was switched out for another sprig of maple leaves in our vintage demijohn bottle and a new plaid pumpkin made its self useful as a bookend.
If I find the time I'd like to switch out the pics for some of our more fall-oriented photographs, but let's be honest, that's probably not going to happen this year!
And that's it, friends! I'm thrilled that I was able to welcome the fall season into our home with just a few small doses of Autumn here and there. I use to be that gal that would drag out bins and bins of Fall and Halloween decor, but as the years go by, I find myself craving more and more simplicity among our living spaces.
I can't wait to share more spaces with you, so make sure to come back really soon! In the mean time, take a stroll over to the other homes linked up below. These ladies are so talented and all of our styles are different, so there's something for everyone!
