They say your first impression is your last impression, so why not make your front door unforgettable this Fall? Today I wanted to chat about layered doormats. Have you guys noticed this new design trend? It's EVERY WHERE. Spend two minutes on Instagram and your bound to see some lovely doormat combos (typically also paired with that Instagrammer's foot attire and their coffee drink of choice that day. Gosh, social media has made us weird, folks).
Personally, I love the idea of layering rugs. It's fun, charming, and ups the coziness factor, but you want to know what I love most about it? Unlike other trends like subway tiles and She Sheds, it's a simple and budget-friendly look to achieve.

So are are you down for layered doormats? A few things to keep in mind, this look works best when the bottom rug is adorned with smaller-scale and/or repetitive patterns such as stripes and plaids. That way you can actually see the design along the border of the doormat. And the last thing is size, a 2 x 3 rug typically works best with the average-size doormat. Of course, I've seen people use large-sized rugs under their doormats and it still looks great!
Below I shared a few of my favorite pairings to give you some layered rug ideas for Fall.
Layer this: Hey There, Pumpkin Doormat Over this:Black Coffee Rug
