Hoorah! It’s “officially” summer today and that means 4th of July is right around the corner. It’s time to decorate with the good ‘ol red, white, & blue. So how many of you have invested one, two many paychecks into a little store called Bath & Body Works? Yep, that’s what I thought. Well, here’s a super simple way to recycle those toiletry bottles!
Supplies
3 empty lotion or body wash plastic bottles
Spray paint {Red, white, and blue if you’re going for the patriotic theme}
Flower buds {real or faux}
Goo Gone
Rinse your empty toiletry bottles with warm water. Use Goo Gone to remove the labels and adhesive glue. Wash the bottles and let air dry. Then take your cans of spray paint and start spaying away. My bottles took 3 coats before I got the desired coverage. Once the paint has dried, fill the bottles with water and place your flower buds inside.
I added a little red & white twine to my flower vases. Twine makes anything look cute; except for possums, nothing can make those things look cute.
I love how they bring a modern twist to the traditional colors of the good 'ol USA.
How do you incorporate the holiday color into your home décor this time of the year?
