I've been on the hunt for a chandelier for Baby B's room for a few weeks now. In my noggin I knew exactly what I wanted. Problema? After scouring a few stores & on-line sites I wasn't having any luck finding this bad boy. Most chandeliers were either too feminine looking or way too costly.
What's a girl to do? Answer: Hit up every thrift shop in town and then some until you find one to makeover yourself!
So here is Miss Sassy Brassy before:
And here she is after:
The deets:
I found the chandelier for $6.99 at Savers and after wiping all that "I-don't-want-to-know-where-you've-been-thrifty-dust" off of it I sprayed it down with Valspar's Cobalt Cannon spray paint.
The chandelier was missing the ceiling plate so I also picked one of those up for a few bucks along with some mini modern looking lampshades at Lowe's.
All together I spent about $35 to put this light fixture together.
Not too bad, if I do say so myself.
Oh, and here is the boring ceiling fan it replaced.
From blah to awe.....
Have I mentioned how much fun I've been having putting together this room?
I mean what will I do with myself once it's all done?
Oh yeah, raise a human being!
Makeover any thrifty finds lately?
