So for those of you who follow me on Instagram & Facebook......SUPRISE!! You won a trip to Fiji. Kidding, kidding BUT you may have seen that we started on Baby B's nursery.
Even more exciting then a trip to Fiji right? Right? *crickets chirping*
Before we knew the gender of our lil' bebe I had my heart set on a grey & coral color scheme for a girl but hadn't really fallen in love with any boy ideas until
I came across this lovely habitat over at Project Nursery.
I just love how bright & soothing the neutrals look up against the pop of colors & because they used the orange & aqua sparingly through out the room it's not overwhelming......ya know, like a Crayola box just spewed all over the place
{which would have been the case if we went with my hubby's original decor ideas}.
Soooo he may not be the next Design Star but atleast he can paint some darn good stripes.
The choice of paint colors were inspired by this little stripe nursery over at the Wise Mama blog.
The colors are by Benjamin Moore and called Gray Owl & Dove White.
I was having a hard time finding aqua & orange bedding that I liked or wasn't too busy so my above inspirational nursery even led me to check out
the Ben Collection over at Serena & Lily {minus the crib bumper}.
Received my swatches the other day & I am so in looooove especially with the pin stripe orange seercucker material on the bottom of the skirt.
But first let me show you this room's roots. WARNING: It's blah.....
This was one of two rooms that we never used besides for when guests stayed over.
Another space in our adobe that hadn't really been touched since we moved in
{never mind that that was almost six years ago!}.
We have so many plans for this room from adding a closet organizer to tearing down that god awful ugly fan. I can't wait to see the final results! I am hoping to do a handful of DIY projects in here too to make it more unique & personal to us & Baby B.
 Stay tuned!

Pssst.....I've gone a bit aqua & orange mad over here on Pinterest if you'd like to follow along!

**Edited: See the finished nursery here!

fyi, I've been keeping up on all your posts from my Feedly app, but I hate posting comments via phone because it's all sorts of difficult and gets me all frustrated.

I am SO excited to watch your nursery come to life. I love -- LOVE -- the color scheme you decided on. And I love the gray and white stripes. So classy -- I would have totally done blue and orange stripes and regretted it about five minutes later. LOL

I'd love to hear from you!
